Full Job Description
The Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley is seeking a Full-Time Site Coordinator for our On-Site After School Program located at Campus Canyon College Preparatory Academy, located at 15300 Monroe Avenue, Moorpark CA.
The regular daily schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 9:30 am - 6:30 pm.
This position will direct/manage overall daily operations of the After School site with primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, Site related reporting, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leadership
Establish and implement Club programs, activities and services that impact the lives of Club members, preparing youth for success and create a Club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Recruit and maintain Club members to maximize Club impact, as well as maximize facility capacity.
Safety
Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are clean and well maintained.
Ensure Club safety as a top priority, and staff are trained regularly on safety procedures, including appropriate interaction with Club members.
Planning
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate Site programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests, consistent with the Club’s mission and goals. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
Management
Manage Site resources, requisition needed materials and supplies within budget.
Ensure proper care of Club equipment and supplies.
Staff schedules are maintained and timesheets submitted per payroll schedule.
Provide professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.
Partnership Development
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with school served by the Site. Develop partnerships with parents, volunteers, and community organizations.
Marketing and Public Relations
Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community. Coordinate activities with Director of Operations. Gather and share stories of impact from Club members and parents. Take and submit photographs of Club programs and impact.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a fingerprinting clearance, background check. First aid / CPR certification is required and will be provided if the selected applicant is not already First Aid / CPR certified.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred.
A minimum of two years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the development of program staff.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
Ability to deal effectively with members including behavior guidance.
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
Must possess a valid CA Drivers License with good driving record.
Must be able to obtain Class B License with Passenger Endorsement and Youth Bus Certificate within 90 days of employment.
